I recently bought seed potatoes and cut them up for planting. My husband says I cut them to small. How big should the cutting be? or is it just based on the number of "eyes" in the cutting?

I've never cut up seed potatoes, you just plant them whole, each eye will produes a spud.
Cut them on the diagonal including a sprit in each piece, plant them sprit up, i was doing this from the age of 10 on my dad's farm, cutting sets took up the whole half term!
