Yes. This company can do it, and can probably recommend somebody if you live outside their area.

Would it not depend on how big your cat is?
I don`t think a cat-flap can be fitted into a double-glazed door, unless requested before the door is made as the seal would be broken. The link given refers I believe to wooden doors that require s transparent door flap.
I have been looking for somebody to fit a catflap in my double glazed back door. They all say that I will need a whole new unit, but if you look at this companies website you will see that they say the complete opposite! I have contacted them and am waiting for a call back. Will let you know how I get on.

Thanks for your help, folks. It does look like I'll have to buy a new unit or the cat will have to learn to use a key.
Got my quote today. 250.....more than two other companies who would replace the whole unit!!!
Hi, Better late than never. If you have double doors then presumably they are all glass. You will have to get a new glass unit with a cat flap hole. You can by cat flaps for glass. However the unit will have to be toughened and will probabably work out at about 50 - 70 per square metre, plus the charge of fitting the glass and the cat flap. You will be looking at about 150 all together.
If you have a mid rail with glass at the bottom the cheapest way would to get an infill panel with a catflap hole, but this would look a bit daft, unless you put infill panel in the other side of the door as well.

We charge about 60 to supply a panel, with catflap in it

If you are thinking about ordering the glass yourself remember the thickness of the glass unit is important. Regards Al
Okay, so the size of the cat doesn't matter then.

I've found a company to do it. Just hope the cat will use it - he can be an awkward so & so!
Can you tell me the company that you are going to use Messalina. TIA
Where abouts are you Big Al? Perhaps you could give me a quote!

Its called Surrey & South London Glassworks - I found it on a website called Checkatrade.com which was recommended by a colleague. It looks like a pretty useful site.
