Calor Gas

I bought a Calor gas heater two months ago and purchased the Calor gas bottle at the sme time,my question is we payed £27-30 for the Calor gas bottle and I was told by a friend that when the Calor gas bottle ran out I could obtain a new gas bottle cheaper than the first one now I had a gas bottle.
I went to the same Calor gas shop to purchse a new bottle gave him my old Calor gas bottle,and he charged me £29-50 I thought it would be cheaper or am I or my friend wrong ??????

From your figures, you weren't charged a deposit on the first bottle you bought. This is normally another £29.99 on what you paid. So your friend was right in theory - the refill did cost less than what he thought you would have had to pay in the first instance.
