I have heard that every new cooker from 1st April 2010 will have to hace an FSD, is this true?

For new gas appliances installed in multi-occupancy dwellings (e.g. flats) this has been a requirement since January (later amended to June), 2008. The new legislation comes into effect in May 2010. You'd think it would have been widely advertised, but no, it hasn't.

Thank you. So I should install any new cooker if it hasn't a FSD before May then? I've heard that retailers may be selling them off cheaper so might get a bargain.
