Washing Machine Dye
7 Answers
I have some work trousers which have started to fade, and money is tight at the mo. They are in otherwise good condition.
I was going to try some black dye in the washing machine with them, but if it were to go all blotchy I could be in hot water! I wondered if anyone has any experience of using a washing machine dye and the results before I try.
Also, will it stain subsequent washes?
Thankyou in advance.

Black on black should be no problem, I have had weird colours on my bedding and curtains. Salt is the key when dying so put the right amount in.
