Hello! I have a Belling "Synergie" integrated electric oven. I moved into this house three months ago so not sure of its age but it looks pretty new. Problem is it wont heat up. the grill part is working and the so is the fan but there's no heat from the fan oven?? Does this sound easy to fix?? I dunno who to even call about it?? An electrician??? I guess the element is broken but i'm not sure if they can be replaced. Please help - any advice is appreciated...thanks!!

The two obvious things which spring to mind is either a faulty Oven switch on front panel of your Cooker or the Element in the Oven itself is faulty.
Best thing is to ring up a reputable local Service Engineer who specialises in Cooker repairs. Find out if there are any Callout charges involved, hopefully he can call round and assess the problem free and give you an estimate as to the cost of repair.
Hi lilipk
Just had exactly the same problem with our Zanussi oven. Luckily I have an extended warranty with mine and when the engineer called, it was the element that had gone.Took about 5 minutes to replace it. Google spare parts for your make and model and go from there.
Good luck

Is it a double oven, if so, have you set the clock, I know it sounds odd but on my Zanussi the main oven won't work without the time being set and the oven switched to 'manual'. This has to do with the ability to set the oven to turn on and off at specific times.
It's cream-crackered! Sound like your element has shot.
Yes, check what Fitzer says as he is quite correct. If that does not sort it then it's what I suggested in my first Post.

Thanks everyone for all your replies! I've got someone coming out to look at it next Monday so hopefully it will all get sorted that day! I'll keep you posted...fingers crossed it's nothing major!!

So...update!! I had someone come look at my oven and the element had burned out. You could see it was as if part of it had just corroded. It cost me 60euro for the call-out charge and then 50 for the new element so 110euro in total. I'm glad I didn't have to replace it altogether anyway! Thanks to everyone for advice!
