You take the chance!
Yes. But why not on the gentle cycle?
Go for it Selfridge - unless it's one of your absolute favourites that you'd be really upset about if it came out shrunk/stretched/whatever
How can you NOT wash a dressing gown? As poodi says, you have to take the chance.
Do you have a handwash cycle on your washing machine? That would be the gentlest.
could it be the do not wash is because of any flame retardant in the material? just a thought really. Never personally heard of that though & dressing gown is definitely washable
OH bought some pretty fabric placemats the other day that you're not supposed to wash! Well nobody's going to spill anything on them are they? DOH!
Put it in a pillow case to wash it,

No, I don't have a handwash cycle, thats why i was curious on Fast Wash. Will take the chance and see how it goes.. Thanks all..!
I stick everything in the machine - most of the time it's fine :)
You do have to be so careful of those expensive, luxury fabrics, such as polyester!

Ahh never thought of pillowcase, it wasnt on my mind. Have put it in just now.

Me neither never heard of that, thats when i went 'how can that NOT be washed?'. Yeah it says don't let that be near flame.

Will let know how it goes when its finished.
