I'm sure this has come up before but don't remember the answer. I have foolishly burnt a saucepan (not non-stick) - forgot to turn flame down - now bottom of pan is black. Have soaked and scrubbed (wot an interesting life I lead) - slight improvement only. Any magic tricks please?
Brilliant! Some more ideas. Thank you. Anne - I was just cooking some potatoes, with some carrots/green beans on top in steamer bit - in kitchen all the time while it boiled away merrily, and noticed a funny scorching smell but just didn't twig....
