Slow transfer with USB extension lead.
4 Answers
I got a 5ft USB extension lead which I plan to use to transfer onto a media drive from my PC without having to unplug the drive and take it over to the PC each time. However I've noticed that the data transfer is much slower using the extension lead than it is when using just the standard lead that came with it. I bought the lead from ebay for a couple of pounds. What is the reason for the slow transfer? Is it simply because of the 5ft extra lead or would a better extension lead allow for quicker transfer?
