can anyone give me a rough price of what it should cost me about to have a 7ft automatic roller garage door supplied and fitted.
No one will give me a price on average it seems to be hard sell like double glazing salesmen.
Thanks in advance

to convert an existing one, about £500. to replace it for one in sections which does roll up i would guess considerably more. worth the money though.
why not get one of the firms out to give you a quote? you don't have to take them up on it. that's what we did, but we used our existing double door.
Just had a quick Google Babe .................. this is just one of them...........

Try it to get a price (delivered), then get a local guy to fit it. This site gives simple DIY instructions. Got to be cheaper than getting it from some Rep in a white plastic shirt .................. :o))))
A local handyman / friend can easily fit one to an existing up-and-over garage door for under £200 / £250 in a day. I would recommend either of the Chamberlain models from Screwfix, even if you need the Canopy Arm. I fitted one about 10 years ago and it's been excellent. Use the belt-driven closer for quieter running, otherwise the chain-driven one is fine. If you really need a roller door it will cost you a lot more.
