Does anyone knit? I fancy giving it a bash actually! How easy can i learn? Was looking at a book on ebay mabye x

It quite easy once you get the hang of it.. Saying that, I think my Gran taught me about 3 times when I was younger.. must not have been that interested lol x
Start with something really simple, say just a square dishcloth, or a scarf.
It's easy, the hardest part will be getting your tension even at first but, it should not take long.
I used to and my Mum is an amazing knitter. She works in a wool shop and knits for customers too. I can knit but can't cast on or off (not much good!) There are some really good tutorials on You Tube I saw recently. Have fun if you do. You can make some beautiful things. I got a fabulous chunky Rowan cardigan last year from my Mum which I spotted in Vogue!
I started when I was about 14 and made lots of little squares then stitched them all together. When I was in 6th year (17ish) we had a recycled fashion project in art and I decided to knit a corset from plastic bags.. that was hard! lol x
Our local Council runs knitting classes. I used to knit a lot - very relaxing.

I fancy a scarf!! Im quite creative so hoping i can manage! Didnt even thinh on youtube! Fantastic!!! My gran used to knit...my friends just had a (beautiful) baby and ive comissioned my friends mum to knit..but now im nearing the end of my course i have a list of "to dos" learn spanish, basic polish, knit hahaha xxx

I had this boyfriend once and I used to like knitting him jumpers which I thought he loved, until the last one I made for him, he said "don't knit me any more jumpers love"! I took the hint and never knitted another thing !
I managed one very oversized wooly glove ;0)

My mum started to knit a jumper for my dad, got fed up and it ended up as a pull over lol..
Because it was deformed and I gave up in dissapointment!

Hahaha awwe thanks for that link! Wish the shop was open and i could just start now! Haha! Im just looking at patterns! Gloves sound tricky!! Xx
