Good morning all sorry about that! I'll be back when I've read your posts.Hope you're all ok.
lovely rendition, Jude.

No email here (yet).

I have sent an expostulatory message to the Ed to free the Neti One. Neti, didn't you once have a spare username to fall back on?
good (just about) morning all. We all overslept this morning. We went out early and had a lovely walk then went back to bed intending to get up and go shopping...the boys usually wake around 10 am and don't let me sleep. Anyway i finally stirred at 11.15 and the boys were still sleepy, they have eaten my breakfast and gone back to sleep again.
Jude that's a great vid, I love that song.
Lottie I nearly spat out my coffee when i opened the photo, brilliant,
Neti if you are reading this keep your chin up, am about to email the Ed as well
Robi, my sympathies about screaming babies....I know us non parents are supposed to go ooo and aaah and put up with the lot but by me noise is noise.

that's lovely Jude...Does he play the drums by any chance? If so and he ever needs somewhere to practise at around 5am he can come here and drown out the hollerin' :)

woofy I'm a mother & grandmother, and I hate noisy kids.... my sons were no angels during the day but apart from a short time of night feeds I suppose I was blessed by the fact they slept from bedtime til 7-7.30am. This new breed don't just laugh or cry, they seem to scream if they're happy and scream if they're unhappy.
I'm grumpy because I feel grotty I suppose.
That's lovely Jude .He's very talented .
I've just made a complete fool of myself by emailing off a query about a crossword in my monthly book telling them there's mistake .I've stared at it for days and it's taken Mr.S. ,who has never done a crossword in his life, one minute to see where I was wrong ...ooops :)
I have a feeling that i know why our friend was suspended as I have found a post of her that was pulled....bit silly really though she posted at 13.30 ish and wasn't suspended until the evening, also IIRC, the post wasn't pulled last night and has been removed this morning......
oh, don't feel too down, shaney!
that's a bit bizarre, isn't it, woofgang? Suspend a poster but leave the post? I assume it's the work of a mod, and they can remove posts if they want.

I think I know the post you mean (in fact someone has responded by kindly quoting it), I just can't see why it was allowed to stay if someone objected.
well they must have taken their time objecting, it was posted at lunchtime and she wasn't suspended till yesterday evening.
things only get reported when somebody notices them, though.

I am still ploughing through articles about DNA tests wondering about my mysterious great-grandfather. Apparently "autosomal" tests can help both men and woman find out about close ancestors, but there seems to be a suggestion that they're not always reliable. They come highly recommended but seemingly only by the people marketing them (ancetry.com for instance).
mmm, they would wouldn't they?

I expect some dalek whizzed off to their next mission before they'd done the job properly..."Exterminate!"....

I had a wobbly potter outside....well, some lolling was involved... not as sunny as I'd have liked but fair to middlin'. The foxgloves really are lovely this year, in fact everything (apart from me) looks healthy.

Grrr...my internet connection slowed right down earlier for some reason .
IGlad you've had a bit of a potter Robinia .It pottered down the pan pdq here .
Lol...some of 'em seem to have a bluebottle up their bums ..buzzin' around :)

The White Queen... Anyone read the books, is it likely to be good...or shall I watch Marple on t'other side? Either way I'll probably need to keep sticking pins in my thighs to keep me awake.
I might watch the queen, out of respect, though it is incresibly rare for me to watch live TV (after my years of shiftwork)
I have read some of Phillipa Gregory's books. The Tudor series .
She writes a good book .The White Queen is from "The Cousins War " series.

I'm going to watch Marple and record it or get it on catch up .
Question Author
I think I'll plump for the queen then and hope I stay awake...
Behave yourselves :)
Marple for me.
Hi all. I'm back. Just caught up with your posts after a lazy day really. Watching tennis and Fuschia came for a cuppa and a look at my garden telling me what was weeds and what wasn't. I don't like the word weeds because I think a lawn full of blooming dandelions looks lovely! And pretty pink flowers on long stalks can't be called weeds either.

I hope you start to feel better soon Robi. I think it's still too cool to sit outside but I have had the back door open all day but it's getting near closing time now.

Thanks for your lovely comments about Steady. I know I'm biased but he has done well to teach himself how to play the guitar and he is such a perfectionist as he insists on playing the songs as they are played originally. Especially when he was in the Dire Straits tribute band.
You've got a friend is a song I suggested he did ages ago so it was a surprise when I saw it on FaceBook.
I hope your weekend went well with your family Lottieand everyone else has had a good one. That includes Neti. I honestly don't understand what's
happened.
Right that's me done. I'm off the Nottingham tomorrow to 'Love at Lunch' tomorrow. Similarto 'Live at Lunch' I go to but not music its poetry and tales about love. I'll let you know more when I get back.
Oight Oight everyone.
