From what you say I take it your trying to view your video output via the RF lead and not the SCART output (if it has one). If your video has no SCART socket outputs then there should be a signal that you activate on the video that you use to tune your TV into. Then you just tune your TV as normal to the video tuning signal which is normally displayed as a bar on your TV screen. This signal from memory is normaly transmitted on channel 21as default but may have been changed due to channel five interference issues. You can just select channel 21 within the tuning menu and assign this to any number button on your TV or remote (if applicable) normally. If you video does not transmit this tuning signal (which some units fitted with AV sockets dont) then put in a video tape which you know has something on and tune your TV to this firstly making sure your SCART lead (if applicable) has been disconnected. Other wise your TV may switch to the AV channel automatically. If your videa and TV have SCART connections its best just to use them as there is no tuning required as the output from the video bypasses the TV's tuner to give a better qaulity picture. Hope this helps.
