Indesit Oven

hi just purchased a indesit oven not fan assisted conventional when i switched on the oven a fan came on blowing air out between top of door and the switches is this a new feature on ovens now or is there a fault that it comes on straight away. warmed up oven as instructions when we switched oven off the fan kept going for another 30 minutes. is there a fault with the oven as there is no info on this with the oven booklet any help appreciated

Hi, I recently bought a Cannon double oven which is made by the same company and was told that it is meant to help keep the switches cool during use. Ours only comes on when the top oven is in use and goes off when it is turned off. If you phone them it costs a lot but if you send them an e-mail explaining what's happening and giving them your phone number they will call you so saving money.

I have a Neff doublr oven. When it's turned off the fan keeps going and the digital reading says 'oven cooling'. When it's cool the fan switches off. Yours might be the same.

Didn't you get a manual with the oven? It should explain all.
