Not really a question, just a rant at the inhumane acts of some people! I am against animals being used for entertainment purposes at all, but this goes far, far beyond that and this circus owner and his moron of a brother need to be prosecuted for this.

I thought that too Octavius. I couldn't have just stood there myself, I would have had to try and get him off her back, failing that I would have called the police or whichever animal rescue society they have there. Watching and filming it is just as sick as doing it in my opinion!

I was feeling nice and calm until I saw this. What an utter ahole, I am fuming. Yet someone stood back and filmed this for 40 minutes. Now, I wouldn't know what to do in such a situation, but I'm sure as hell it wouldn't involve holding a video camera and standing back for such length of time. Some people need a reality check - life is not just about youtube

I honestly do not understand this. It certainly appears to be a severe case of cruelty but, if it were the owners that were dancing on the poor beast, surely they would have realised that they were killing their income!

Apparently there have been horses drowned at the Appleby Horse Fair. They get whipped into the river and don't make it across.

It would be surprising if gypsies deliberately risked drowning a horse; the horses are literally their stock- in- trade, which is why the horse fair exists, and why they are there.

That may be a little harsh ChillDoubt! but I do hope they are prosecuted and banned from ever owning an animal for work or as a pet for the rest of their lives, I somehow don't think it will happen though :(
