Does hotmail automatically deletes email after a period of time ?

I've just gone to my inbox to bring up an email to check something and and all email before 25/09/13 have dissapeared

I always save important emails to folders I have created within Hotmail (Outlook as it is now), that way i know exactly where they are if I need them. I have some going back more than 10 years.
I don't think they automatically delete from inbox, just from the junk folder.

sorry - silly me - there was a bar across the bottom of the page which was hiding the emails
