If she was paying monthly then it would be on her bank statements. If she lives in a small town ,try the local undertakers?.
Or,as a longshot, she could have confided in one of her friends and told them.

When my Mother went into Hospital and subsequently died (early 80's) I had lots of things to sort out, there was a business, 2 employees, 17 horses (it was a Riding Stables), I couldn't find any of the important Paperwork in the Office. She had taken an enormous Handbag into Hospital with her, it was ALL in there, the whole damn lot.
We found all vital paperwork, including deeds to the house in a big shopping bag in the coal shed. With dementia there is often no obvious reason why things may be stored in certain places. Lots of other documentation had been thrown out. Suggest looking in places that you would not expect to find things. Good luck.
Hi TWR, sorry for your dilemma and to hear about your poor Mum being taken into care. My Mum died 4 weeks ago and always told us "I've taken out a funeral fund to help you when I go!" - so we always assumed it to be a funeral bond but it has turned out to be a life assurance policy - Mum only called it that I assume as she expected it to pay for her funeral (it didn't - it only paid half!) so we were looking in her paperwork for totally the wrong paperwork, so try looking for insurance documents instead.
