Hi, is there any computer experts out there that can help me. Apparently my flash player is pre-installed but not enabled. I have tried and tried, following many instructions, to get this enabled, but to no avail. My operative system is Windows7. Any help or suggestions will be most welcome. kind regards, Jonty.

The usual solution to Flash Player problems is simply to uninstall 'Adobe Flash-Player Plug-in' from your list of installed programs (via the Control Panel), then RESTART YOUR COMPUTER (that's important!) and reinstall Flash Player from here:

My thanks to oldbillbuck and Buenchico but I have tried both these without any success. I think if no one else corresponds I will have to call in a Computer specialist. Best wishes, Jonty.

Hi, further to my previous request for help in downloading adobe flash player , every time i try i get the following message "windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access them." Further one site said I should download HTML5,tried this and again no luck. Again any help will be most appreciated, kind regards, Jonty.
I'm confused!

However I've downloaded the Flash Player installation file to my own computer and then uploaded it my web storage space for you. Click here:

Then click the green button.
Next click to put a tick in the box to the left of the file name.
Then click 'Save as' and save the file to a convenient location on your hard drive. Double-click on the file to run the installation process.

Hi Buenchico, many thanks. It is obvious you have gone to a lot of trouble to help me. I have followed your instructions to the letter twice but again the same answer " windows cannot access etc. " I am beginning to think windows7 and adobe flash player are incompatible. I cannot now see what else I can do. Kind regards, Jonty.
Jonty, are you logged in to your system as a System Administrator or a User (although not knowing anything about Windows after XP I doubt if I could help you further) ?

This might help
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2669244
but, if you're getting the message when you try to download the file (rather than when you try to run it) there would seem to be only two possibilities:

1. You're not logged in as administrator (and your current user status prohibits downloading files). See here for how to log in as administtrator:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows7/how-do-i-log-on-as-an-administrator

OR

2. Your antivirus software is set to prohibit file downloads. Either go into the settings and change them or temporarily disable your security software while accomplishing the download.

If the problem occurs when attempting to download the file (rather than when attempting to install it) it's clearly got nothing to do with any incompatability between Windows 7 (or Google Chrome) and Flash Player, as you seem to suggest, because all that Windows and Chrome know about my link is that it goes to an executable file. (Until it's actually run, neither Windows nor Chrome have any idea that it's anything to do with Flash Player). If you can't download that file you won't be able to download ANY program files, so it's important to get the problem sorted out.

In the short term however, simply use another computer (or get a friend to do so) to download the file from my link. Then transfer it to your own computer (either by using external media, such as a USB memory stick, or by emailing it to your address) and run it by double-clicking on it (If that's going to present a problem, simply provide me with a temporary email address and I'll send it to you).

HI , thanks Buenchico, I thought that that site would give me the answer, but unfortunately not. However I have now received a new message as follows ,"the version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you are running. Check your computer system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64(64-bit) version of the program and then contact the software publisher.
I have windows home premium, system type 64-bit. On my control panel I have Flash Player (32-bit) and in my programs Adobe flash Player 15 plug-in.
What do i do next.? kind regards, Jonty.
