Read this story today in one of the Sunday rags with the added information that he was also first in the queue at the prison pharmacy for his medication and the 'news' that he didnt have to work in prison. The fact that 'pensioners' are not required to work in prison wasnt mentioned, neither was their 'source'.
I'm no fan of Glitter by a long shot but believing everything that the press prints requires a mentality that is shut off from questioning.
I remember a similar story about Rolf Harris been moved to Stafford prison (not far from me) that said he was moved to a 'cushiour' prison because he was been bullied.
The fact is, prisoners get moved about, regardless of their crimes and how on earth would a newspaper know (as oppose to speculate) that Glitter has 'heavies' around him in prison?

The newspapers rely on paying for 'stories' from released prisoners who have been in the same jail as a well known inmate. These people will say anything the reporters want them to as long as they get paid. The news papers are always careful to cover themselves by saying that the stories are 'reports' or ' it is reported that'
