Logitech Speakers
I recently moved address and am now re-setting up my desktop.
I have Logitech 220 2.1 speakers for my PC - the two speakers each have a cable that join to end in one headphone L shaped jack (colour black) and I don't know which port on my PC to plug into. After working perfectly before my move I can now get no sound from the speakers from any port. A cable from my monitor audio does give some sound, but poor quality. I've tried online info but that is vague - "plug into any port" - that doesn't seem to work.
Any suggestions appreciated.

I'm surprised that each jack isn't marked with a symbol. Not at my pc to check at present but hope the link above helps. It shows colour codes. Ensure plug is pushed fully home.

OG - many thanks for interest and reply (good name, by the way, - describes me really!). Also for link.
There are 6 ports at the back of my pc, colour and mark:
top - Grey side spk, Black rear spk, Orange ctr bass. under - Pink mic in, Green front, Blue line in. They all have symbols. I assumed at first that it must be the black port, no good - all the other tried as well. Everything is switched on ok so I'm stumped. I must see if I can test the speakers somehow.

Thanks for further answers - first I must admit to a basic error. The jack that I described in my question does in fact plug into the sub woofer box and leads to the speakers (I feel a right prat). Anyway, my pc is a few years old: Chillblast Fusion Ninja and sound info: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio. I've tried again with the green speaker plug in the green port - still nothing. I'm not sure what I'm supposed to adjust in Control/Sounds. I tried testing the speakers but only got "failed to play test tone" window.
There is a pdf manual for the Logitech 220 Speakers with Subwoofer at the following link which shows how to connect to your PC. Also check that the volume controls are turned up on the Subwoofer control pad which is also shown in the manual. Also make sure that your Windows audio driver settings have the volume turned up.
