Hi all,
Recently i asked a question regarding how hypnosis works. I recieved some first hand experience which i found very useful and for the first time in a long time i have found myself closer to the answers i have for my ever changing questions. Basically i would like to know how and have the ability to hypnotize people. i understand that i can not go round hypnotizing people to act like a chicken for example i know it doesnt work like that. I have always had a great intrest for hypnosis and now i would like to have the ability. The thing is there is so many books and courses offering different ideas and methods. PLEASE if you have first hand experience can you talk me through your way of hypnotizing people, thanks to SublimeSelf for answering my previous question but i am desperate for more detailed information... Can Anyone help please???
Regards

Take a deep breath. You seem very anxious to find out about this topic and it is quite ironic as hypnosis can only occur when you are deeply relaxed ;-) Do you want to use hypnosis as a therapeutic tool or just to amuse people at parties? After receiving your answer I will be able to direct you to the appropriate sites...x
Dear Info Freak
Then I suggest you go onto eBay and browse for some courses. Hypnosis is very simple to do and you really do not need to pay a fortune for someone to teach you how. And it is also practised under Common Law- therefore you do not even need a qualification! But it is impossible to obtain insurance without it and that could be an ugly mess! If you are interested in the psychological aspects as well then a good course to do is at the Robert Shields College. He is a very talented and compassionate man who spends the money you pay for your course on underpriveleged children in the Phillipines and elsewhere. It only costs about 70 and is fefinitely worth it as you can charge your first client anything between 50-250. If you are more interested in the stage part of it then Jonathan Royle (but he also does therapeutic) is very complete. He is a bit controversial but you definitely get value for money. I did both and a few more and have not regretted it...
