I clean mine with an old toothbrush and a small amount of toothpaste. Just use the brush gently as you do not want to do any damage to the stones. They come up a treat.

Ooh i shall try that tonight thanks maggie
i just soak them in water and then use a fairly stiff small paint brush
you can also just drop them in a small glass of gin or vodka or other high % proof alchohol. Brings them up nice and shiny, or it does for my solitare and Platinum setting anyhow. You can have a bevvie at the same time too!
I clean them using tablets for cleaning artificial teeth. They are sparklinbg again after a couple of hours.
I find that if you put them in a saucepan of water cover well then add a small dot of fairy liguid bring to the boil then simmer for about 5 mins then brush with a baby toothbrush, rinse off then buff up they come out a treat, all new again, but not ones with glue in them, try it let us know what you think. apparantly Jewellers do it.
