I have an ACER KU-0420 keyboard. I know the middle light on the top right lights up when I select Caps lock---what do the other 2 indicate (which are on all the time) ?

Without looking up that specific keyboard I’d guess ‘Num Lock’ & ‘Scroll Lock’ as they are the standard three lights. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scroll_lock
There should be an extensive user guide on your hard drive - there has been on all my Acers. There will be a diagram of the keyboard showing what all the keys, lights and indicators are for.

Thanks to you both---I have pressed the "num" lock key and the light went out --resulting in not being able to use numbers (But only from the right side section) I can still use the top row numbers. Why is this
The number pad is there for people who input large amounts of numerical data - it's easier than using the top row of the keyboard. You will notice that the numbers on the pad are upper case ie, if you switch-off "number lock" you can still access then by using the shift key. Switching-off number lock allows you to use the arrow keys, page up/down etc on the pad.
