It will be so cheap that it will not be metered , just a small 'service charge'. The power companies know this very well and are doing everything to scare people off. They can see the end !!!
On the other side, there is only a limited amount of oil / gas in the world. All estimates are that we passed the point of 'peak flow' several years ago. So the only way for fossil fuel is DOWN from now on !

The war on fossil fuels is nothing new. It has been with us for decades. Cutting CO2 emmissions is in everyones interest.
Great stides have been made in renewable energy in recent years, as evidenced bu the ubiquitous wind turbines and solar panels everywhere.
