For the past few weeks I keep getting alerts on my phone from Google, its always a news headline, how can I stop this please, its like a 'pop up' headline.
I have a Sony Xperia android phone, thanks for any help.

Pull your notifications down from the top. Then long press on the alert you don't want and you'll get the option to either have it alert you or not
