Recording With A Lenovo Ideapad S145
3 Answers
Hi. I have a minidisc player with a zillion recordings I want to transfer to my PC (above}. I`ve tried Recordpad (useless}. The best option seems to be Audacity, but how do I connect the `audio out` lead to the the PC in order to do this? I`d settle for recording everything straight on to my PC but there doesn`t appear to be an `audio line in` on this Lenovo. There has to be a way, I`m sure. I`d appreciate any help. Many thanks.

Plug that into one of these, which connects to a USB socket on your laptop:

That's not just a googled answer - it's exactly how I feed audio into my own Lenovo ThinkPad (which also lacks an 'audio in' socket).

I`m still having problems. I acquired a UCA202, connected the USB lead to PC - green light OK; not having a mixer etc, connected the input sockets to my minidisc player; connected the headphones and switched on the minidisc player - sounds perfect through headphones.
Problem - my PC doesn`t recognise the connection to the UCA202, so I can`t set up any sound capture or recording. All help gratefully received. Many thanks. 711
