Amazon Alexa

I've a problem with my Amazon Alexa that I've no idea how to resolve.
My Galaxy Tab S6 tablet has both the Amazon Alexa and Amazon Music apps installed. My tablet is connected to the wi-fi in the house as is my Samsung S8 phone and the Alexa.
When notifications such as Facebook posts come through to my tablet, which "dings" to let me know they are there, Alexa "dings" at the same time. However it doesn't only do that, it also announces the same phrase every time namely "Playing from Chamois's Galaxy Tab S6". No sound comes out of the Alexa after the announcement and the blue revolving ring just goes off following the announcement.
I just can't think where I need to look to resolve this issue or how the Alexa is doing this. This is about the third time it's happened in the past few years and I can't remember how it stopped last time.
Thank you.
