Yep, porridge for me every morning made with semi-skimmed milk. Nothing else added.

All porridge oats can be microwaved.

Ah good morning Barry, nice to see someone anyway
I never used to like porridge as a kid but now I find it nice and filling till around 1
Usually toast, butter and marmalade for me, Bobbi. Used to like cornflakes or Weetabix but not now.
I have a piece of fruit a couple of hours after my porridge - pears are very good at the moment.

Haz, toast?I love it , bread any way is my Achilles heel :O{
Granola, blueberries, raspberries, almonds, milk. Mmmmm
I'm a late sleeper, and don't even have coffee (decaf + cream) until I've been up 1-2 hours.
Food doesn't really happen until 2 or later. I might eat a bit of Greek yogurt or a chunk of cheddar if I have to go out.
Porridge never filled me up when I used to have it.
It's got to be, Pancakes as an occasional treat
Never was a breakfast person but since being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes back in 2009, i make sure i have 3 meals per day, beginning with brekky. I alternate between porridge, cereals and poached egg on toast.
Today was porridge (no sugar) with sliced banana and a handful of blueberries. Can't abide by that microwave porridge - far too sweet for my palate.

My OH is type 2 Ken and he eats weetabix and sliced banana ,
I am like Ken, my breakfast alternates between porridge, cereal and eggs. I tend to have my breakfast late, making it brunch as I cannot face food first thing. Today it will be smashed avocado & egg on toast.
Ken, you can buy microwavable porridge in sachets designed for convenience. They come in several varieties including original which is exactly the same as the porridge you buy except it is milled a bit finer for faster cooking. No added sugar or flavourings, no additives of any kind.

Other brands including supermarket own labels are available.

It is a ridiculously expensive way of buying porridge though - a box of ordinary porridge oats can be cooked in the microwave
I ditched my microwave years back. I was only using it to defrost or reheat food. Never actually cooked anything in there.
A wee bacon and black pudding doubler sets one up for the day ahead.

White and red pudding is available for less inclusive diner.
Yes. I have a bowl of muesli with a banana and two cups of tea. Sometimes at the weekend a couple of scrambled eggs and toast.
Never ate breakfast at all until I retired - now alternate egg on toast/porridge with fruit & yoghurt/ bacon butty/boiled egg/toast & marmalade. And coffee.
//a box of ordinary porridge oats can be cooked in the microwave//

Yes - a cup of milk in a bowl, add three desert spoons of oats, microwave on full (800 watts) for 90 seconds, stir up. Job done.
I always think microwaves make the food taste awful Ken, can't beat an oven cook, top and bottom. They keep bringing out all these fancy nick knacks for the kitchen but in a very short time they end up being redundant gathering dust.
PS - I hated washing the pan when doing porridge on the hob.
^^^^ PMSL er microwave is just heat innit?
