Is It Snowing In Your Neck Of The Woods?

Hi all
Since yesterday I have had problems getting my ntlworld e-mail account open. I do it thru Outlook express and am running WinXP. Also Since this happened when I shut the computer down a box comes up saying "ending program CcApp" and a little bar fills along the bottom when this gets to the end the box disappears but the computer doesn't shut down but you can't open anything as a warning comes up saying cant perform computer shutting down, then eventually the computer starts shutting down but takes forever to do so. I can access the internet fine and can get ny e-mails thru their web page. I have rung NTL and the woman worked out that something on the computer was blocking the connection, we disabled norton and still the e-mail wouldnt connect, then I got cut off the phone and am going to ring them back but just wondered if anyone had a clue what was going on? just so that at least I may have a bit more of an idea when I ring NTL back. It's the box that comes up when I try to shut down that is worrying me. I have run all antivirus and nothing has shown up, I have a firewall etc..
I'm not great when it comes to comps I'm afraid so I hope above makes sense!
I'd appreciate any feedback :o)

If you have Norton installed CcApp is the Common Client Application. Symantec knows that ccapp refusing to shut down is a problem and claim to have fixed the problem. Start some Norton application and run LiveUpdate, download the updates (if any) especially for CcApp.
Now for the funny bit :-( You have to reboot to finish the installation.
NOTE: This is not the same as updating your anti-virus definitions.
Norton is probably the root cause of your email problem - updating the apps may fix that as well.
If you dont have Norton CcApp.exe is also a file associated with some spyware, just google ccapp and you will see what I mean.
Best of luck
