Yes.

Are you going to spoil yours, bednobs?

Question Author

possibly, or maybe i'll just not go at all.

or maybe i'll give myself the small satisfaction of writing "you're all knobs" on the bottom

Just one snag with that.  The people it's intended for won't see it.

Question Author

well, i admit it's MOST likely i'll stay at home

I have said repeatedly that I won't vote again BUT (according to the polls) it looks like there's a chance our Tory MP might lose his substantial majority. So I may just give him +1.

Perhaps there should be a 'None of the above' option - and that tally should be announced.

Question Author

i would vote for that jourdain!

the people in my area represent te following parties:

conservative, labour, Lib Dem, UKIP, freedom alliance, green, reform.

i dodnt even know UKIP still existed.  freedom alliance seem a bit barmy.  the others all leave me cold.

Yes, I have done it three times in my life ...

Take a look at this which may help you decide what to do.

https://votingcounts.org.uk/spoilt-ballot

sort of: the results will say electorate contains X voters, Y valid votes, X invalid votes

https://electionresults.parliament.uk/elections/1396

There was a petition for all spoilt papers to be counted as valid. It got tw signatures

https://petition.parliament.uk/archived/petitions/41868

that second X was meant to be a Z. So I've spoilt my answer. 🙁

Yes.

Some years ago when Police Commisioners were introduced I wrote on my ballot paper:

"None of the above are suitable for this post". When the result s were published, included was a note to the effect that approx 12 % had given a similar response....

The winner only lasted one term

Just buy a new roll of toilet tissue !

"Perhaps there should be a 'None of the above' option - and that tally should be announced."

What would happen if "none of the above" polled the most votes?

Peace, as no one would be messing up the nation (for once).

If you do indeed spoil your ballet paper do not make threats or promise violence. That voting slip can(if someone deems it to be advisable) traced back to you! Just saying.

//What would happen if "none of the above" polled the most votes?//

The person who has registered their name by deed poll first as None of The Above would be declared the winner and made P.M. Probably be better than any of the gits we are likely to get.

//What would happen if "none of the above" polled the most votes?// - the highest person wins, apparently happens all the time in Australia where they force you to vote. Of course there is no NOTB on UK papers because we have democracy.

NOTA!
