no water going into dishwasher

when i turn the dishwasher on, it makes the usual noises but isnt taking in water, don't think the pipes are frozen because everything else is alright. Any ideas please?

If you live in a hardwater area you might want to check your little taps. The ones for my washing machine tend to get blocked at least once a year and need changing.

Thanks, just found out what was wrong, the pipes were frozen, and i just spent an hour clearing the dishes out and handwashing them grrrr
