hi,


dont know if this the right area to ask but


anyone know how to tie the knot truck drivers use to tie on the loads it starts by making 2 loops and you end up with a loop that goes over hook on van and a free end which you pull which then tightens whole lot down

Thats the one Ethel, it is amazing how tight you can tie down things with it. It is possible to tie two of these in line which gives you 4 times your own strength which can crush the load you are tieying down!

One of the few old style things I can remember how to do Steve. Like most other truckers I use ratchet straps now, but it still comes in handy.
There are many people like yourself who have forgotten how to tie the old lorry knot or truckies knot as we call it here in Australia.
