i wonder if anyone could help me with this problem, i recently bought myself a dvd player and borrowed the scart lead from my daughters tv till i bought myself one. I have her scart lead back but she cannot get a good picture at all, its hardly worth watching. Her tv is only 1 year old. Please can someone tell me what i have done wrong. Thanks Madeline

have you plugged the scart back in the correct place ?is it only plugged in to a video?is there a dvd and a sky box also ?it has to go in the right one for it all to work properly. check that you have not disturbed the aerial lead ,i did this with mine and thought i had done somthing to the scart.best of luck.

when you say she cannot get a good picture what are you referring to? tv signal of the actual signal from the scart lead?

iof the latter, unplug it and check the pins in the plugs aren't pushed back into the plug body. this can sometimes happen with older or cheaper leads.

when you say she cannot get a good picture what are you referring to? tv signal, or the actual signal from the scart lead? If you meant the latter, unplug it and check the pins in the plugs aren't pushed back into the plug body. this can sometimes happen with older or cheaper leads.

Check that both ends of the lead are pushed in firmly as these can be problematic.
