I have an old telly in perfect working order, is there anyway i can use a freeview box with it as it hasnt got anywhere to plug the freeview box in on the back, is there a "connector" i can buy ?

You need one with an RF modulator built-in so you can tune a spare channel on your TV into the freeview box output - just like a VCR before the days of SCART leads.

I don't know which models have this feature - most don't but there are some. Alternatively you could buy a separate SCART -> RF converter to convert the SCART output of a freeview box.

A separate RF modulator will probably cost as much as a Freeview box so it's not really an option, so your best option is to seek a box with an RF modulator built-in. These can be relatively pricey but there's a reasonably priced one here:

(PS: If your TV has got 'AV' phono sockets, you can buy a Scart to AV lead from Tesco Extra for a couple of pounds and use a normal Freeview box. I've helped an elderly friend set up his almost equally elderly TV to receive Frreview this way. My own Freeview box also uses one of these leads to feed to an ancient Commodore computer monitor!)

Another easy option that may have beenoverlooked...If you have a VCR (video player) plugged into your old banger telly...you could plug the STB, settop box straight into the scart on the perhaps newer VCR and 'loop' it all up together, thenyou'd be able to record it too!!
