transferring addresses

transfer a copy of hotmail contacts to windows address book or Microsoft Outlook

the only way I have done this before (and it is probably terribly backward!) is email all my contacts (from my hotmail account) to tell them of my new address (on outlook), I also copy myself in (using the new outlook address). Then, using the email I have just sent I right click on each name and select add to outlook contacts, a bit time consuming but preferable to having to type them all out and possibly get them wrong. Let me know if you find an easier way!
