Dylon Fabric Care stain remover. They are available in supermarkets and cover a huge range of stains from oil and grease, biro, polish. You name it, if theres a stain then this stuff will shift it. Dab it on the affected area before putting it in the machine!
How hot did you wash the jeans? Cool temp washing will very rarely remove grease stains. Dry cleaning nearly always works, as the chemicals dissolve grease instantly. Unfortunately though, washing can quite often 'set' the stain in. Perhaps still worth a try though.
