2 in 1 shampoo

This may sound a bit stupid, but is 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner just half a bottle of each mixed together? If not, why not, and if so, damn thats a get rich quick cheap scheme!

Ah, but if it is mixed, do you need to use twice as much per wash?? If not, then surely they are losing money! (ie: not having to buy two bottles!)

Advertising companies could save time by only mentioning when a shampoo ISN'T "2 in 1". It's been around forever and they still act like it's the newest neat thing!

If you have to agents, say a conditioner and cleaner you could save money by halving the doseage and it SHOULD still clean and condition as well as when it was seperate. But as we all know- when mixed, some agents tend to lose there effectiveness in one or more area's, so to counter this you would have to up the doseage to fix this, and as we all know this would up the cost. So if you did gain money the fact is it would be insignificant that it wouldn't be worth the hassle...

I don't think it is. If it was, then the shampoo particles would attack the conditioner particles soon after they were both put into the same bottle! When used separately, shampoo washes away conditioner, doesn't it? A soap particle (shampoo) turns an oil particle (conditioner) into something else. If they were together, the shampoo wouldn't quite be able to wash away the conditioner, but it would turn the whole solution into a murky mess incapable of performing any further actions. Now, as to what 2-in-1 shampoos really are, I haven't the faintest idea!!!
