Stilt walkers

Sorry if this sounds a daft question but I've always wondered about it - If there is no-one else around to help, how does someone get on and off a pair of stilts?

just a random guess, maybe they let themselves fall over. like i say, justa guess.

na they have a masssive chair with ladder steps inbetween the front two feet and take them off and climb down
