Control Panel

When I open Control Panel I am now unable to switch between 'Classic' and 'Category' view. The panel on the left side is missing. I cannot reset it.

Make sure the window is wide enough - any smaller than about 4 icons wide and the panel disappears.

If this isn't the solution, go to Tools -> Folder Options and choose "Show common tasks in folders" from the General tab.

Have you tried changing the screen resolution?

Many thanks for your help people. It was the folder options that did it. Simple really. A bit like me I suppose.
