how to take a pic

i know this sounds like i'm incredibly dim but.......
how do i put a pic of me on msn i dont have a digi camera but i have a scanner that my sis bought at a car boot. can i transfer a pic of me from the scanner to my laptop this way

Hi caz, no you wouldn't be able to transfer an image from your digi cam to a scanner. You need to have the photo printed 1st. If you have any cables that came with your camera you should be able to transfer direct to your laptop using the right software.

i don't have a camera at all
i want to know if i can transfer the pic from the scanner to my laptop and if so how do i do it

sorry i didn't read your question properly. Connect your scanner then open word or similar, go to >insert > picture > scanner or camera at which point a window will appear, you then select your scanner and hay presto your pic will be scanned and then appear on your document. If you have another program which edits pics it would be better than word, but just as easy to use.

caz, look on ebay. there are loads of cheap(crappy) little cameras for �5-�10. they are no good for proper pictures but to use as a msm can/vid cam (all be it basic) they are fine. my son uses mine on msm and i've used it to put pics on ebay when selling.

Hi, you can also get someone to take your pic on a mobile then send it to your email address, save it in your pics then use it from there x
