Hijacked accounts are getting more and more common.

I suspect they use a password generator to try thousands of passwords a second - until they hit the right one.

For this reason I advise every eBay user to regularly check their ebay accounts - especially the ones that have not had much activity recently.

I suggest you change the email address to your eBay account too.
Ethel - I know it is not an brill way but doesn't any activity on your account such as new listings and payments taken from you account for a new listing show via emails you receive from ebay to the email account you have registered with them?? I.e ebay emails you to tell you that payment has been taken, or a listing has now been processed.
Hijackers can and do alter the email address, so emails go direct to them.

So if you don't check your ebay accounts you wouldn't necessarily know.
I'm on it! lol
Is it me, I don't find it easy to sort things out with their site and I am getting increasingly worried by the number of scam e mails I am getting from 'Paypal' and 'Ebay'.
me too lady p, just had one the other day, reported it and it took customer support three days to get back to me. Think its getting tooooooo big!!
they got back to you did they!! your the lucky one!

they other day i bought a new dress in size 8 for 120!! the only problem is, i am a 16 stone male, plus it wasnt my colour and i would of had to get shoes to match!!

the winning email gave me a link to paypal to pay it and i dont know what was going through my head but i clicked on the link to cancel the purchase and it asked for my password!.......like an idiot i entered my password, but i entered the wrong one,but yet it still came up and as a "prrove who you are question" it asked for my credit card number!!!!!!! i reprted it to ebay, after i FINALLY found the right question and reported it!! i never had to get the dress but i also havent had anything as a reply from ebay!!!
