Making multiple AVI's as one AVI
8 Answers
A friend is trying to download a series off the internet and rip it to DVD. Unfortunately each episode has been made into an AVI meaning loads of AVI's. He has no problem converting AVI to DVD but his problems is how can he make all these AVI's as one whole AVIthus allowing him to rip all of them at once onto dvd?
Is there a piece of software that stick loads of AVI's together and makes them as one AVI???
TIA

can you use nero as the tool to make multiple avi's to one by using "disc at once" and telling it to copy to PC as an image file instead of straight onto DVD? help!!!

I can also confirm that Nero will burn AVI to DVD as I do this on a regular basis, using Nero 6.Your mate will only get about 2 - 3 episodes onto a DVD because even though most episides seem to be around the 350MB size as an AVI, when you burn them to DVD using Nero, each episode actually takes up about 1.5GB on the disc.I doubt your mate will be able to fit a whole series onto a DVD disc in a format that will be playable in a standard DVD Player. If you simply want to put 2 or 3 episodes onto 1 DVD and for this to be 1 single file, this is easy to do in Nero. When you have added the files to Nero, there are some Icons down the left hand side of the screen, and the middle one is called 'merge' files.Highlight the files you want to merge
and then click on this icon.A message will appear stating that you are merging files, and all you do is click OK (or is it YES), and you will end up with one file which you can then burn to DVD.
