what is the correct tyre pressure on a vauxhall astra 1.4 i J reg 1992 tyre size 175/70 R13

Here's some answers to similar questions in the past:

Toby Davies If you are a car driver you should know that the actual tyre pressures on any vehicle depend on a number of things including whether they are used on the front or rear and also what the intended load factor of the vehicle is likely to be, amongst other things.
It is unwise and unsafe to use a vehicle with incorrect tyre pressures.
The 2 answers above have given you good advice on how to seek your tyre pressures yet you ungraciously rate the answers with 1 and 2 stars respectively. What do you want ? Someone to come round and inflate them for you ?

Thanks drochit....yes the previous answers were helpful but also blindingly obvious and I had already thought of them surprisingly enough!! At the time the question was posted 1) Without air in the offending tyre and no spare I couldn't get to the garage to read the label on the air pump! 2)None of the tyre fitting outlets were open 2)The car hasn't got a handbook or a label on the pillar 3) The tyre manufacturers websites don't seem to go back this far and neither does the Vauxhall website. The Michelin link supplied by rinkytink is now dead!! So although the previous answers would have helped on a newer car and if I had a few less cognitive brain cells and couldn't have thought of them myself then they would have earned top points....but thanks everyone for trying!!
