which wheels fit which cars

is there somewhere on the net that can tell me the answer! 4 instance, will alloys from an escort fit a peugeot205 or a toyota corolla etc .etc. etc.

I've just spent the afternoon at a tyre and exhaust place getting a new exhaust. Another customer was looking for new alloys for his car. I got the impression there are so many types, sizes and fittings your best bet is to ask such a place a specific question, e.g. "I have alloys from car A. Will they fit cars B or C?"

The problem here is that Different wheels have different offsets, different stud numbers (normally 3,4 or 5), and a different PCD. On top of this you have the wheel size and width and also the tyre profile to take into consideration. Spacers can be bought which will adapt the cars hubs to fit most any type of wheel, but often this can prove a costly route.
