Plasma TV's use xenon and neon gas, there are some myths that after a while the gas degrades and it needs to be regassed but it's not actually true.

I concur.
'Tis a myth.
..however, they are bloody heavy, and if he had a large plasmw TV, he may have needed a pump truck to move it.

....I'll get me coat.......
He's right......... when I bought mine it was a 42 inch. It developed a leak and I went into the lounge one morning at it had deflated down to a 22 inch. I pumped it back up and now it's fine.....
utter rubbish. take no notice.
I'm a tech and I have never heard of this.
heli-service,
i've got some no-puncture tyre seal in an aerosol, will this help? it'll reinflate your tely and stop it getting a flat in future!!
if it works on car tyres then it should for telys
markja's talking rubbish! That tyre seal stuff is terrible.
My plasma telly sprung a leak last Friday. I patched it up with "Tyre-O-Mend" in time for the rugby on Saturday, and what happens??!!!

Bloody Johnny Wilkinson bounces off the rubber join at the edge of my screen and gets awarded a try because the bloody TV ref didn't think he was 'in touch' !!

I'm going back to cathode ray technology.......
