Can you dye shoes?

Just brought a pair of wedges for �2! (bargain) which ive wanted for a while, although they are wood/cork on the bottom and beige straps on the top that cover your toes and go around your ankle. Does anyone know if i can dye the straps at the top to a gold colour? Also where i could get shoe dye from? Thanks xx

You can dye shoes but beware,its a messy process,shoe shops have shoe dye but if i were you i`d take them to a cobblers and get it done professionally.
