i have the above mobile anyone know if it is possible to save sounds to your simcard rather than the phone, so that when i put my sim into a new phone i have the sounds to use on my new phone?

Not usually - the phone will have a memory of its own and/or a memory card to store it on - you could do that instead - save your tunes/ringtones/pictures to the memory card instead of the phone and then if the other phone has the same memory card - use that one and the data will already be on it.
