Urgent Help Needed in selling shares

Hi everyone. My dad has shares in a company called H-Net.net Inc (Ticker symbol HNNT:US). The shares were bought through a Broker in Bejing who are now no longer there and he needs to know how to find a broker in the UK to sell them through as they have gone up a hell of a lot. He has the Certificate etc.. Please help if you can, cheers People

You could always try looking under 'Stockbrokers' in the Yellow Pages.

Hi Paul If I were you I would not even use a broker but sell them through a bank such as Barclays who offer a stockbroker type service. Look at : www.stockbrokers.barclays.co.uk - If you want to get into share dealing you can set up an account with a bank and buy or sell yourself - much easier. Hope this helps.

Yeah, I think he tried to sell them through a bank but they didn't want to know but I will visit your link and have a look around, Cheers roscoe

I sold shares through my bank and had the option of doing it online - this more than halved the bank charges and was easy to do.

some banks will say no because these are shares listed on a foreign market - the big 4 (HSBC Natwest RBS and Barclays) should have no problem trading them for you and you don't have to be a customer with them - simply walk in off the street and enquire.
