Bleeding Gas Central Heating System
2 Answers
I am regularly getting air in my central heating system. I have to bleed the radiators every 3/4 days. I do this with the system off ie. with the pump not working. What is causing this and how can I solve the problem permanently? Thanks in advance.

Initially, I would suggest inspecting the pipes and radiators for leaks in a methodical way, i.e work from the boiler and follow the pipes all the way around the house. If no leak is visible then possibly the problem is under the floorboards. Before tearing up the floor though, make sure the pump is sound and not leaking.
