Does anybody know ANYTHING about this book that involved a boy with a medallion who could see these people at midnight?

There was a book, or series of books (I can't remember), that I used to read when I was younger. I can't remember who it was by, what it was called, but I do remember some aspects of the plot: it was about this boy who had this amulet or medallion (with a hole in it) or something like that , which allowed him to see these people that you can only see at midnight. There was a character called Tobias who could fly or was very agile and he was one of these people (he might have a cat- or can change into one). There were also these other people after the Midnight People but I can't remember why. The boy has to help save the Midnight People. At one point in the series (if it is a series) there are some Tree People, then some Moor or Sea People. I'm so CONFUSED and ANNOYED because I keep thinking about this and it's soooooo frustrating!!! Help! PLEASE!!!

A similar question appeared a few months ago and this is the answer I gave then. Give it a try. 'Tim & the Hidden People', perhaps? Click http://loganberrybooks.com/stump.html
and scroll down to very near the bottom of the page to the heading 'Tobias the Cat' for further information.
This is definitely the Tim and the Hidden People / Tim and Tobias book series by Sheila McCullagh ; about a boy called Tim who finds a key which enables him to see the Hidden People.
Tobias and Sebastian (cats) both fly broomsticks.
The tree people are in fact the stump people, and there are Moor People in the D series and paperbacks.
The medallion you remember is possibly the Shield Stone also from D series.
